Honor teamed up with ARRI for professional-grade imaging
Smartphone manufacturers continue to seek new ways to elevate mobile camera performance, increasingly partnering with established names in the imaging industry. One of the latest collaborations announced at MWC 2026 is the partnership between Honor and ARRI.
ARRI is a Germany-based motion picture equipment manufacturer founded in 1917, widely recognized for its professional cinema cameras, lenses, lighting solutions, and post-production tools. Over the years, the company has received 20 Scientific and Technical Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Through this partnership, Honor and ARRI aim to bring cinema-grade video recording to compact smartphones. The companies say the focus will be on delivering a true cinematic aesthetic—natural color reproduction, smooth highlight roll-off, and an authentic sense of depth—while enabling creators to transition more seamlessly from mobile capture to professional post-production workflows.
The first device expected to debut the Honor–ARRI collaboration is the Honor Robot Phone, which is scheduled to launch later this year.
