Samsung’s First XR Headset: Project Moohan Launch Date and Price Revealed

Samsung has officially announced the release date for its highly anticipated first XR headset – Project Moohan. The device will debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event on September 29, with sales starting October 13 in South Korea before expanding to global markets.

Built on the Android XR platform, the headset will feature AI-powered advanced interaction capabilities. Hardware specs include the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset, Adreno 740 GPU, 16GB RAM, and Android XR OS.

In terms of pricing, Project Moohan is expected to cost between 2.5M and 4M KRW (around $1790–$2865). By comparison, the Apple Vision Pro launched at $3,499, making Samsung’s device a more affordable alternative.

Samsung reportedly plans to ship around 100,000 units of Project Moohan in 2025, though its success will depend on how the market responds to a new competitor.
